All Loll outdoor furniture is made from 100% recycled HDPE. What is that? It is high density polyethylene, a plastic resin used in products and packaging such as milk jugs, detergent bottles, margarine tubs, and garbage containers. All colors except black are post-consumer recycled, whereas the black material is post-industrial recycled HDPE. Post consumer HDPE is a material or finished product that has served its intended use and has been diverted or recovered from waste destined for disposal, having completed its life as a consumer item. In making furniture we generate waste too. 90% of the waste from Loll's manufacturing process is sent to a recycling plant (where it is recycled into post-industrial HDPE), and all Loll furniture is also 100% recyclable. For every pound of weight in a Loll chair there are an estimated 18 recycled 2 liter milk jugs being used, saving natural resources and reducing land-fill waste.
